Jack Ryan ☆ Labrador Retriever ( Colleen ) Strong and energetic; trainable, obedient; sturdy and able to adapt to different environments. And not a bad swimmer, either. Yes, nobody at the laboratory was surprised when Jack's daemon -- at only a year old -- settled as a labrador retriever. She's got a more interesting name than her human, primarily because Fontaine wasn't involved in naming her. Together Colleen and Jack are trackers, fighters, prey flusher-outers, and a formidable fetch quest team! And they will eat a n y t h i n g. |

Mark Meltzer ☆ Capuchin Monkey ( Alvarita ) These two are quite a pair: Smart, tool-using/puzzlebox-solving, daughter-protecting sonsa bitches. Sometimes they'll break into farms or abandoned factories and put the local authorities' backs up, but hey man, it's for a good cause. They're both good learners, both nosy, both dedicated problem solvers. Alvarita's name means 'speaker of truth'; she's quite a fan. She gets all up in research projects with Mark, and she used to piggyback Cindy's daemon pretty much everywhere, rarely letting the kid out of her sight. |

Brigid Tenenbaum ☆ Egyptian Goose ( Chatzkel ) Egyptian Geese have been both admired and called pests. They tend to be quiet unless alarmed or angered, and difficult to get along with, and they kinda look like they got dragged out of hell to judge you. Also they're geese, so the most important thing to know is that they are little shits. Especially once they start to get broody. That's when they get amazingly territorial about their nests, and will straight up chase intruders into the air to have a dogfight with them. I'm not even kidding. Don't mess with Mother Goose's children. |
